Articles include:     The Federal Minimum Wage and Long Awaited FMLA Regulations

The Federal Minimum Wage:  effective July 24, 2007, the federal minimum wage for covered, non-exempt employees was raised to $5.85 per hour.  Additional increases are scheduled for July 24, 2008, to $6.55 per hour, and for July 24, 2009, to $7.25 per hour.  A revised Federal minimum wage poster is available from the Department of Labor's website.  The Oklahoma minimum wage is equal to the federal minimum wage of $5.85 per hour.  The new poster also is available at this link:  Poster Image.

Long Awaited FMLA Regulations: The United States Department of Labor recently issued its final revised regulations to implement the Family Medical Leave Act; and, these regulations become effective January 16, 2009.  Although the new regualtions are over 750 pages in length, they provide clarification in several areas that have been problematic.  Here is a link to the revised regulations.  For an excellent article explaining the revised regulations, check out the following article:  link to article.
